On Thursday, the Hotel Donaldson will be hosting the third annual Bras on Broadway fundraiser to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. I've photographed the event the last couple years, and will join them again this year to document this awesome fundraiser.

In conjunction with Bras on Broadway, I'll be posting a series of photographs this week of, well, a pink bra. One of these photographs will be up for silent auction on Thursday.

Urban

This is the part two of my walk with Penny last Monday. I'm not sure if the commercial section of Moorhead can really be considered urban, but, it's more city than our cute little neighborhood... so, there you go.

Lately, I've been looking at a lot of work by photojournalist Christopher Morris. In his recent work, including his book My America, Morris has focused on the often looked over details on the American campaign trail. It's an interesting perspective. In any case, I find myself taking even more simple details.

Up on the roof

We've had some leakage problems via our chimney (yeah for home ownership), so handy-man Kerz has been up there the last couple days trying to fix it. For some reason, I wanted to experience the roof too... so, with camera in hand, I followed my husband to the rooftop.

I was terrified. It's a lot more steep up there than it looks... and, well, I didn't have the best of shoes. I managed to take a few photos though.

Fall

Penny (my coworker) and I took a bit of a photo adventure yesterday around my Moorhead neighborhood. We hope to have enough cohesive stuff to make a bit of a photo collage at our workstation.

The walk was a lot of fun... though, we both figured out fairly soon that we are not climatized to the cold quite yet... I must invest in magic gloves...

Anywho, we started off at my house and walked through my residential streets. It's the end of peak fall colors here the Red River Valley, so it gave us a nice opportunity to document the last of 2008 color. I'm splitting the photos from our walk into two sessions, fall and urban, as we also made it to the old commercial parts of Moorhead.
