Katie Lewis

Katie Lewis and I met a few years ago at MSUM, where we dared to be photojournalism majors. In 2004, with a bunch of photojournalism and english peeps, we took a trip to the British Isles. A few years (and student loan payments) later, we both are still photographin'.

Katie began her own photography business awhile back (http://katielewisphotography.com), and she asked me to take a portrait of her for her website. She swears she's not photogenic... but, I don't believe her.

This photo looks the least like Katie... and probably too photo shopped. But, I like it :)

Luke & Max

Sunday, I went over to my cousin Greta's place to photograph her boys, Luke & Max. Max, the newest member of the family, just turned 3 months old a week or so ago. Both these guys are going to be loved by the ladies when they get older :)

I told Luke to give me his best sad face... this is what he came up with:

Which, somehow, morphed into this:

2008 Milestones Wedding #1

I've decided that since the majority of life (especially April-October) consists of photographing weddings, I would start to share my favorite wedding images on this blog.

First up, Charlie & Keely who were married 02.22.08

Blue Earth Review

Last year, after the urging of my friend (and former Advocate Editor) Bronson, I submitted some photographs to be published in the Blue Earth Review, Minnesota State University Mankato's literary journal. Bronson is a graduate student at MSU-Mankato and an editor of the journal.

Apparently, they liked some of my work and used a photo for their cover.

Looks like I once again snagged the cover of the 2008 publication. Woot! It should be released sometime this spring.

My photo "Leona's Car II" will grace the cover:
